Welcome to The Craichouse
Welcome to the new Craichouse web site. It has been a bit of a struggle but finally we have got it up and running. It is not much to look at now but we will be adding to the site over the next few days so call back.
First a little bit about our 4th trip to the Kilkenny cat laughs.

An established comedy club with an ever-evolving lineup, The Craichouse Comedy club has been going strong for 4 years in the heart of Cork City.
Since opening its doors in 2004 The Craichouse Comedy Club has become Cork’s premier comedy venue for new and up-and-coming comedians.
We've helped launch the careers of local comedy icons such as

  • Meave Higgins (Naked Camera, Network 2)
  • Eleanor Tiernan (The Cafe, Network 2)
  • and Donnchadh O’Conaill (Chortle UK Student comedian of the year 2006).

The Craichouse Comedy Club,

And now we are on every Sunday in the Slainte bar, Market lane, Patrick Street Cork City.
Since opening its doors in 2004 The Craichouse Comedy Club has become Corks premier comedy venue for new and up and coming comedians.  We continue to showcase only the finest local and national stand-up comedy. Without a doubt, the Craichouse name is synonymous with talent and prestige.

It all began four years years ago, when Martin Henchion returned from Oz to find very little places to practice his comedy, so he and two friends met in the back room of a local drinking emporium with one goal in mind, to make people laugh (and make money).

The good people at The Craichouse also organize one open mike performance every Sunday night showcasing emerging stand-up comedians. Now with 4 years under their belts, The Craichouse continues to flourish.

With The Craichouse becoming a favorite in the Cork comedy calendar and finding a host of fans beyond the real capitol, who knows what the next few years hold. (Viva la revolution)
